Join Pride at Work’s Working Group
Dear friends, comrades, and colleagues:
As we regroup from the disappointment of the passage of a non-inclusive Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), Pride At Work is planning to ramp up our work on gender identity issues, issues which effect not only transgender people, but also anyone who presents their gender in non-conforming ways.
Are you a woman who prefers to wear your hair short? Gender identity impacts you. Are you a guy who carries a man-purse? Yep, gender identity impacts you. We need to make sure that any legislation that impacts our community includes gender identity and that our unions understand how issues of gender identity can impact the workplace.
If you’re interested in getting down and dirty on these issues, please email Donna Cartwright, Communications Director and let her know. She will add you to the list and we will begin to ramp up our work at the beginning of January.
